EU funding for management and research of invasive alien species in Europe

Report on EU spending on invasive species 2008. In the period 2004-2006 EU spending for invasive species has increased to 15 million EUR per year. Also the number of projects funded has increased. It can be assumed this reflects an increase in the awareness of the growing IAS problem among managers, scientific institutions and the EU citizens in general.
